Spain introduced new regulations last year which are being further strengthened. So now gambling can only be advertised on TV or radio, or even on YouTube, between the hours of 1am and 5am and sports sponsorship is banned. If Spain can take strong action like that, why shouldn't we in Britain? The All-Party Parliamentary Group on gambling harm has recommended equally tough measures to protect us from being harmed by gambling. The Government is undertaking its long-awaited review of gambling legislation. The consultation is open to all. Make your feelings known. It's easy to find the questions they are asking us at www.govuk/government/publications/review-of-the-gambling-act-2005-terms-of-reference-and-call-for-evidence. Or search for DCMS and follow the link to the consultation or search for Gambling Commission and find it that way.
